Corrosion Management Conference (CMC)

NACE International, The Corrosion Society, will launch its new Corrosion Management Conference (CMC), a separate and unique one-day event that, in 2010, will be held in conjunction with the 65th annual CORROSION Conference. ISA's 55th Analysis Division Symposium

The International Society of Automation announces that it will host the 55th Analysis Division Symposium 26-29 April 2010 at the Astor Crowne Plaza in the French Quarter of New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. ISA's 2010 Safety and Security Symposium

The International Society of Automation announced that the 2010 Industrial Automation Safety and Security Symposium, sponsored by the ISA Safety Division, will take place 28-29 April 2010 at the Astor Crowne Plaza in the French Quarter of New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. Biomass 2010 Workshop

The Energy & Environmental Research Center (EERC) at the University of North Dakota announced today that the Biomass ’10: Renewable Power, Fuels, and Chemicals Workshop will be held at the Alerus Center in Grand Forks, North Dakota, July 20–21, 2010.

Event organizers are currently seeking abstracts from presenters wanting to be included in the technical program. Abstracts are due to the EERC no later than March 1, 2010.

“Renewable energy in the United States has doubled in the last 5 years. Renewable fuels and power from biomass will continue to take center stage,” said Chris Zygarlicke, EERC Deputy Associate Director for Research and Workshop Technical Director. “Our workshop has a reputation of addressing the critical issues surrounding the economical and environmentally balanced commercial use of biomass,” he said.

In its eighth year, the EERC’s Biomass Workshop offers a cutting-edge 2-day technical program and exhibit show with national experts who focus on biomass production (i.e., plant matter such as straw, corn, and wood residue) and biomass conversion to power, transportation fuels, and chemicals.

The workshop is geared toward industry, research entities, government, community and economic development corporations, financial institutions, and landowners. Topics include trends and opportunities in utilizing biomass, renewable policies and incentives, renewable fuels, financing biomass-related projects, biorefinery chemicals and products, biomass for heat and electricity, biomass feedstocks, and algae.

The North American Industrial Coating Show

The Powder Coating Institute (PCI) and NACE International, The Corrosion Society (NACE), will be partnering to produce The North American Industrial Coating Show at the Indianapolis Convention Center, October 27-29, 2010. The event will replace PCI’s The Coating Show and NACE’s CoatingsPro Show. “This will be the premier coatings show in North America and we are excited about partnering with NACE and other associations as we continue to expand this show to encompass all facets of the industrial coatings industry” says Steve Houston, executive director of The Powder Coating Institute. “Partnering with PCI is a great step toward developing a world-renowned coating show. Informex Show Management today announced that its InformexUSA 2011 show will be held in Charlotte, North Carolina, February 7-10, and also unveiled details of a brand new event, the Informex Specialty Chemicals Conference, which will be held in Houston, Texas.

Informex is also organizing the Specialty Chemicals Conference, which is being held in Houston, Texas on May 11, 2010.
