Rhodia Inc. is a Paris, France-based manufacturer of specialty chemicals with 15,000 employees worldwide. The company posted sales of approximately US$6 billion in 2007 and has 68 sites worldwide. The company is known for its production of mild amphoteric surfactants, phosphorus chemistry and guars and derivatives, as well as in high-performance silicas, rare earth-based formulations and diphenols. The company’s corporate structure is built around its six global enterprises, comprising four growth platforms – Polyamide, Novecare, Silcea and Energy Services – and Acetow and Eco Services. Rhodia has manufacturing facilities and R&D centers in all four major regions of the world – Europe, North America, Latin America and Asia Pacific.

Clamadieu has served as Rhodia’s CEO since 2003 and chairman since March 2008. He was president of the company’s pharmacy and agrochemicals division prior to his appointment as CEO. He began his professional career in 1984 as the deputy director of the Champagne-Ardennes regional office of the French Ministries of Industry and Research.
Gilles Auffret
chief operating officer
Auffret took over as COO in January 2001. From 1999 to 2001 he served as the company’s deputy president and president of the polyamide division. He began his career in 1975 as an auditor for the Government Accounting Office.
Pascal Bouchiat
group executive vice president and chief financial officer
Bouchiat has served as group executive vice president and CFO since Dec. 12, 2005. Prior to his current role, he was Rhodia’s vice president of corporate finance and treasury for two years. He joined Rhodia in 1998 as financial controller.
