I’m sure Facebook, Twitter and all other social media avenues will be filled with reference to Pi Day tomorrow. This year it’s extra special because not only is it March 14 – but the year 2015 extends the celebration of pi digits – 3.1415.

I’m sure Facebook, Twitter and all other social media avenues will be filled with reference to Pi Day tomorrow. This year it’s extra special because not only is it March 14 – but the year 2015 extends the celebration of pi digits – 3.1415.

The folks over at Wolfram Research help serve up pi to the masses by enabling them to see where their birth date (or any date, for that matter) appears in the sequence of pi.

And also check out CEO Stephen Wolfram’s blog, which explains how they are able to target dates within pi.

Traci Purdum is Chemical Processing’s senior digital editor and fan of pie and pi. Because she’s on a diet, she’ll stick to the numerical version. You can email her at [email protected].
