Earlier this month the world celebrated the 23rd First Annual Ig Nobel Prize ceremony. The Ig Nobel Prizes are organized by the magazine Annals of Improbable Research. The ceremony is co-sponsored by the Harvard-Radcliffe Society of Physics Students and the Harvard-Radcliffe Science Fiction Association.
I missed this year's Ig Nobel Prize Ceremony. I began to panic when I realized my mistake in planning for the event. I even instinctively went to my DVR menu to see if I remembered to record it.
I am a klutz. I trip over things. I run into things. I hurt myself at least once a week. True to schedule, last week I broke my little toe. I was on my way to the bathroom in the middle of the night and stubbed my toe.
I was introduced to the Ig Nobel Prizes several years ago and I always look forward to the announcement of current winners. For those of you not in the know, The Ig Nobel Prizes honor achievements that first make people laugh, and then make them think.
